Warning: poorly written mini-rant ahead
I’m so upset I can’t even think straight.
How is it that the Star Trek 2013 movie is less progressive than the show in the 60s?! Benedict Cumberbatch as Khan? Really?! REALLY?
Is J.J. Abrams even a Star Trek fan? Didn’t he know one of the most important elements of Star Trek is diversity?!
This is really upsetting me because I’m an uber trekkie (watched the 60s show, know all the terms, blah and I’ve been waiting for this movie for four years), J.J. Abrams fan (LOST is my favorite show) AND a Benedict Cumberbatch fan (Sherlock is amazing).
Why couldn’t Benedict be Gary Mitchell, Charlie X or any of the other hundreds of white or white appearing aliens? There were so many other villains they could’ve picked from and so many other brown actors that could’ve been Khan. SO MUCH UNTAPPED TALENT!
I’m probably not going to watch it. The movie will do fine without my money.
“the friendzone”
there was this one guy that kept asking me out.
every time I would politely decline.
He then kept complaining about how I led him on and put him in the “friendzone”
He got his friends to try to bully me into dating him
The next time I saw that guy, I told him “congratulations! you’ve left the friendzone!”
he looked really happy.
I then told him: “You’ve now entered the enemy zone! don’t ever talk to me again.” (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:・ﾟ✧
